Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for baby led weaning This fork and spoon set are great. The size is perfect for baby learning to use on their own. The handle is just the right size and shape to let them hold. Washes great in the dishwasher. The fork was great for spaghetti Os and the spoon is great for mashed avocado. The fork has more than just a single row of area to get the food on and this makes a huge difference. Love that the handle is somewhat non slip to make it easier for baby. Only downside is this set is made in china. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this feeding accessory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great transition feeding utensils I received the NUK Pretensil Set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was excited to use this since we are starting to introduce utensils to my daughter to feed herself. I loved the option of the fork since I haven’t seen anything similar to help her transition to a regular fork. Both items are easy to grab & hold food (solids & purée) well. With the fork we mostly practiced with meats and the spoon with purée & yogurt. The only thing I don’t like about the fork is the food gets stuck in the grooves & my daughter will lose interest & throw it down. This also makes it more difficult to wash. However I love that I can put both in the dishwasher for easy clean up. Overall, I would recommend this product for little ones who are being introduced to utensils as a great transition feeding accessory. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this feeding accessory!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft on teeth and easy to use My son is 15 months old and seems to love using this Pretensil Set! I love how both the fork and spoon are soft on the teeth and gums. The fork still sturdy enough to poke through all of his foods, and also wider making it extra easy to poke. The spoon is also a great design as it allows for food to be scooped on both sides. I think this feature is really helpful as my son starts to understand how to use the spoon himself. Dishwasher safe! I received this NUK Pretensil Set from Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy utensils I was given this feeding accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We have nothing like this fork and spoon set, so it was new to me. My daughter is still working on loading the spoon and fork herself, but if handed to her with food in it, she can put it in her mouth successfully and eat. I love how the fork has many prongs all around so the food really gets in there. We were able to put cubes of avocado and sweet potato in there. We used the spoon for yogurt and oatmeal. I like how the food stayed on the spoon and didn’t create a huge mess if my daughter flapped her hands. She almost has to suck on it to get all the food off. The set looks nice and was easy to clean. It has become my favorite set and we will be using it for a long time to come.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Concept but Needs More Detaile We're doing baby-led feeding, so I was excited to be given the Nuk feeding accessories to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I liked the size of the chunky handles because baby could hold on well, however, as soon as food (like yogurt) was all over baby and her hands, the fork and spoon seemed too slippery and challenging for an early eater to hold on to. I think it would help if the handles had more texture or grooves. I didn't like stopper on spoon that doesn't allow for exploring mouth and learning how far is too far. I loved the idea of the many-tined fork, but it ended up holding the food too well: I helped baby spear an avocado piece and it just stayed deep in the tines once she gnawed on it and pushed the avocado piece far in. Overall the concept is good but I think the design needs some edits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So great for littles My son really loved this starter feeding set. The dipping spoon worked well for his yogurt and the little fork fit his hand perfectly! He was able to pick up food and get it into his mouth with ease!! Such a neat little set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for beginning eaters Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this feeding accessory. With the introduction of solid food I was thrilled to have this NUK Pretensil Set for my daughter. The "fork" and "spoon" were perfectly sized for her little hands. She could grab onto them and hold them firmly in her hand without them being too big to control or maintain. She was able to get them from her tray to her mouth and seemed to be excited to have her own "utensils." The ingenious part of these utensils is that there is no scooping or stabbing necessary for success. As simple as getting them IN whatever food is served, their grooves, crevices, soft tines, etc. allow food to "stick" and therefore transfer to my daughter's mouth. She doesn't have to be adept at fine motor skills because these utensils capitalize on the developmental milestone of putting everything in her mouth. The fact that they managed (thanks to their design) to get food on them was a great reward. Not only is she using utensils like us, she's being positively reinforced with food! They are perfect for purees which are often the first foods! So well thought out! I was also happy to see that the NUK Pretensil Set washed in the dishwasher nicely. Despite their size and crevices, they were able to get completely clean. I'm very happy with this set and my daughter is very excited to be eating "like us!" Thanks Stellar Product Testing Panel!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spoon Set I received this item from stellar product testing panel in exchange for my honest review. I think this set is awesome for babies! My son is just learning and this product worked well for the soft food while also teaching him hand eye coordination. It is very durable and the end is flexible enough it doesn’t harm him. Very easy to clean and also the perfect size for his tiny hands!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price We’ve been doing BLW for over six months now and have used different utensil sets from different brands. This set is much cheaper than others but works pretty well. My baby likes the fork more and enjoys eating spaghetti with it. The spoon that comes in the set is good for mashed food and thicker oatmeals. Overall compared to more expensive sets this is a great one but I only wish it came with a cleaning brush since the spoon has grooves and the fork has extra tines and sometimes smaller pieces of food get trapped in them. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this feeding accessory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved these baby Utensils These utensils were a game changer! We’ve tried other brands in the past and when I reduced these from the Stellar testing panel, I could tell right away they were different. The fork has these great tines all the way around - that allow food to be stabbed and safely eaten. My baby picked up watermelon and scrambled eggs very easily. He wasn’t frustrated as they stayed on the little fork! The dipping spoon was perfect for guac and yogurt. I loved that it has a stopper so he couldn’t jab the whole thing into his mouth. We will be getting a ton of use from these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Baby approved We have really enjoyed the NUK Pretensil Set for our 10 month old baby. She is really into feeding herself and holding the spoon after we put food on it so this is a great way to give her some freedom. She isn’t quite coordinated enough to scoop food yet but I know she will learn that soon. We tried several foods such as mashed potatoes, oatmeal, yogurt, tilapia, and soft vegetables. I preferred the dipper because it seemed like food was a little hard to get out from the fork. Both washed very easily and will continue to be part of our mealtime especially as our daughter learns to feed herself more. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting our daughter try out this feeding accessory!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NUK Pretensil Set I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and it was in fact pretty great for our little guy. Our 16 month old took to it instantly and started using it to self serve during meal time. Some of the meals were spaghetti, chicken salad, and rice dishes! The spoon was also great for serving himself yogurt and other soft foods that were easy to have in piles and let him practice scooping! The fork can be slightly difficult to clean because of the little ridges between them, so the idea of a little cleaner would be helpful possibly. Overall, both my wife and I were very pleased with the product and enjoyed watching our son work on his motor skills and independence with feeding time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for my sons Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this feeding accessory. I used the spoon and fork several times and in theory I understand why it would work, however they did not for us. The spoon would not hold anything solid such as oatmeal. The spoon part not the handle is straight, and not curved so it was hard to keep food on there. We tried yogurt, oatmeal, and applesauce with the spoon. I could see this working for strictly purées. I did appreciate that the spoon has a space to stop it from fully entering my son’s mouth to gag him. But he was not a fan and would just chew on it and refuse to eat off of it. However, my three year old enjoyed using the spoon to spear his strawberries and eat them like a popsicle. The fork did work to stab peas and items (noodles, fruit, chicken) but would then get stuck in the prongs so my son would get frustrated as he couldn’t get the food out. Plus it was a hassle to clean all the food out of the grooves. My three year old also tried the fork and had a hard time getting the food off the prongs. The handles are a great soft texture and the packaging was amazing as it was fully recyclable but the utensils were not easy for my 11 month old or 3 year old to use. My 11 month old ended up using the spoon as a chewing device and my son 3 year old will continue to use as a device to “make his strawberry popsicles.” I cannot recommend this product as I think there are simpler and easier to use items on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NUK Pretensil Set I received the NUK Pretensils Set through Stellar Product Testing Panel. I love the matte finish which makes it easier for my baby to hold onto. I also love that he can’t push the spoon too far back in his mouth since there is a stopper. The fork is so cool and easy to stab and pick up foods as he learns to self feed. We love this set!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Early eater review I tried the NUK fork and spoon set with my 9 month old and overall I liked the product. The spoon worked really well for yogurt and purées. I think it was a little early for him to grasp the concert of the fork, we tried it with eggs and even loaded it, he brought it into his mouth but then didn’t really understand why the food wasn’t coming off. We will the fork again later. He did really well holding these and I think he enjoyed the spoon on his teething gums. I was given this feeding accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fork better than spoon I received this NUK Pretensil Set from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I gave it to my 16 month old to use for self feeding. He mostly eats with his hands, but has been trying to use utensils more and more in the past 2 months, so this was a great addition to our baby feeding tools. The set came with a spoon and a fork. The spoon was unique and somewhat unusual. It was very flat with small openings in the middle, supposedly to hold purees better. I did not like the spoon very much due to this unusual shape. It held thicker things like yogurt well, but less so thinner purees. Thinner things also fell off as my son turned the spoon towards his mouth as there were no sides to hold it. However, I loved the fork. The dual tines (soft on the outside, firm on an inner row) held food easily. They also made the fork head wider and therefore easier for my son to successfully spear food himself. He was able to feed himself foods of various textures, including eggs, pears, berries, and steamed vegetables; the tines held the food securely as he maneuvered it to his mouth. I was also not worried that he would scratch his mouth as the fork was plastic and the outer tines protected him from the firmer inner row. Although the spoon did not work for us, the fork made this set worth it. Thank you to  the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My toddler loves this set First off I would like to say that I would totally recommend this to babies starting out with utensils. My daughter loves this set. She first used the spoon to eat some yogurt and the grooves definitely made it easier for her to pick some up and not lose it all on the way to her mouth. She loved doing it herself. As for the fork, she started with Mac & cheese and did so good! Instead of trying to stab each individual noodle she just shoved it in there and picked some up every time! Way easier than a regular fork for sure. I personally loved the color of this set and thought it was super cute. I was so happy to see it when I first received it in the mail. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this feeding accessory. My toddler loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Babies had fun and so did I My 7 month old twins were sent the NUK pretensil set to try by Stellar Product Testing Panel. They immediately grabbed on and ate the blueberries I'd put on there for them. They are at the age where everything goes in their mouth, and they quickly discovered these for more food into their mouths faster! Both the multi tine fork and the spoon kept food on them easily, even when being flung across the room by very happy twins!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for self feeding I received this product free as a member of Stellar Product testing panel. I have an 8 month old who loves food. We found much more use with the fork than the slotted spoon since we give her small pieces of what we eat. She is easily able to hold the utensils and I love that they are blunt on the edges so she doesn’t hurt herself. The slotted spoon is perfect for tasting yogurt and applesauce. We plan to use these utensils well into toddlerhood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE MY NUK PRETENSIL SET I LOVE this spoon and fork set. Ever since my baby was 6 months old, I have been so nervous about “babyled weaning” and allowing my child to feed himself. It was something that caused me a lot of stress. I started with purées and spoon fed my baby. He has the personality where he likes to do everything himself and anytime i’d let him grab the spoon before I had these, he would gag himself! I LOVE the size of this spoon and the little “stopper” so he can’t stick it far in his throat. You can absolutely tell there was lots of thought that when into the design of this spoon and fork set. He is now 9 months old and we’ve been practicing so much with utensils and my son has mastered it now that we’ve been practicing with the Nuk utensils. I am loving thee so much and I highly recommend them for babyled weaning but also purées! The forks design is also spectacular. I am over the top impressed. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this feeding accessory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Starter Utensils This fork and spoon set are a great starting point for getting your little one used to using utensils. The spoon can be used from both sides, which is a unique and helpful feature when they’re first learning. The handles are a great length and overall size for babies to get the hang of feeding themselves. The only downside is that they’re plastic, however we’ve overlooked this because they have worked so well! I did receive this product for free from Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helps independent eaters I was given this feeding accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. At first glance the light grey color was easy on the eyes and they are sized just right for little hands. My little guy is just starting to use a spoon on his own for some foods and has been using his fingers to grab pieces of food. I was primarily excited to try the “fork” to help him eat “finger foods”. He took easily to the utensils and as expected the fork allowed him to be a more independent eater, regardless of the food. They were just the right size for his hands and seemed easy for him to get from plate to his mouth. He ate everything from chicken, broccoli, rice, potato salad, cantaloupe, and spaghetti with this set. The only challenge being sometimes all the food would get stuck in the fork and I would have to help him get it out. Clean-up was easy. He was excited to independently eat foods with a utensil that he previously was using his hands and fingers for. My favorite feature of this utensil set was definitely the fork, as it made the biggest difference in helping my little one learn to eat independently. Would recommend for this reason.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great job by Nuk flat spoon is great I received this feeding accessory from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I love the flat spoon idea which is ideal for baby foods, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. Using a regular baby spoon right out of the box when babies are younger doesn’t work as well. The fork was a little more difficult for my daughter to use (she is 18 months now). I have used others that have a similar concept that had a larger space in the fork so this Nuk fork worked a little better but the food did not overall stay in the fork. I think the spoon was a home run! Fork is better than what I have used in the last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for self feeding This pretensil set is great for encouraging independence in my 8 month old. Pros: the food TRULY stays on the fork and the spoon. It is miraculous. The spoon can be completely vertical and shaken and the food does not fall off. The fork is easy to use and really holds onto the food nicely. Despite how well they hold onto food for eating, both the spoon and fork are very easy to clean. Finally, my baby did not gag herself on the utensils a single time because of the stopper on them. Cons: no matter how many times I tried I really struggled to actually scoop anything up with the spoon. I had to basically pick up the food with another utensil and plop it on top. This really was a pain, but then when my baby flung her spoon around and the food stayed on I felt like it was all worth it in the end. Overall I am happy with this set and it is great for teaching utensil usage in my baby. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this feeding accessory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good starter set Note: this product was received through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The spoon was great for my 1 year old. She was able to figure it out pretty quickly and spilled less food than with traditional baby spoons. Less mess is always a plus. The fork was not as easy for her. The food would sometimes get stuck in the prongs, and she couldn’t quite figure it out. They are really well made, and I’m sure an older toddler wouldn’t have the same issues with the fork.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but needs work I received this set for my 13 month old to try out, she is able to wield the fork and spoon well with food or empty. They are dishwasher safe which I like. She tried them out when eating mandarin oranges, cream of wheat, yogurt, green beans, fruits and soft veggies, scrambled eggs. The spoon worked for her with the yogurt and cream of wheat as she can scoop it easily however, the fork seems to let quite a bit slip off the tines, they may possibly be a bit too wide?? And it’s also a little difficult to clean the fork out as she gets food stuck up in the middle. Overall I think they are great if you are starting your baby on practice with a utensil set. I received the product for free from Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest opinion. The thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks Stellar panel for including us.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for little hands I received the Nuk Pretensil Set through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The three sets of tines on the fork are great for using with bananas and strawberries. The slotted spoon is great for scooping messy foods such as applesauce. The spoon holds sauce type foods well, and the fork both holds soft fruits well. The fork did stain after one or two uses with spaghetti, but the function wasn’t affected. The size of the pretensils is great for babies and young toddlers just starting to use forks and spoons. My little one enjoyed using the set and is still learning to scoop and pick up food with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good idea but could be better I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My baby is 11 months old and typically only uses pre-loaded untensils because she has not yet grasped the concept of loading the food onto them. I thought these would be great for her. They are good in theory. The spoon is good for thick things like yogurt. She can dip it in and the yogurt just sticks to it and she can put it in her mouth without it spilling off. However, it doesn't hold enough to satisfy her. She can also manage to pick things up with the fork, but the food always just seems to get stuck in it. She only has her bottom two front teeth, and I think perhaps if she had top teeth, she might be able to get the food out of it more easily. We will continue to use the fork as I think it's a really good training tool. I doubt we will use the spoon again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life changer I received a free sample in the mail in exchange for my honest review of the Nuk pretensil dipper fork and spoon set, the mess free suction plate set and the mess free suction bowl set and the and I am pleasantly surprised. My oldest child is 14 and products such as this weren’t available yet. She used a regular childrens form and spoon, but boy do I wish we had this. This pretensil set made it so much cleaner. My son was able to eat his food with little to no mess. Clean up was so much easier for me. The plates and bowls auctioned nicely to the high chair or table. My little monster wasn’t able to fling his plates and bowls to the floor like usual. They also came with lids so that we can save the food for later or take it on the go. I will definitely be purchasing more and giving some away as baby shower gifts. Two thumbs up!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's about time! I received free samples of these and they are GREAT! The spoon holds soft, mushy foods very well without drips and the fork (seems like too simple of a word to describe) helps little ones who do not possess great aim. Love the colors too.
