Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this My twins love these. The spoon is so easy to use for them to feed themselves and the fork is nice because it’s safe for them to hold on their own but also holds on to the food. Recommend 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wanted the 'gootensils' but couldn't justify the cost. Saw these at Target and grabbed them. We've only used the 'spoon' so far but it's been great! Baby (5 months) can grab it and put it in his own mouth and I love that the stopper prevents him from gagging himself. Not sure how useful the fork will be but love the spoon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Practical The spoon was a good design for our baby, because the food actually stayed on the spoon. It's not very practical as a spoon though, because there is a whole in the middle of it. The fork was a little more disappointing. It doesn't work as a fork because you can't really stab anything with it. Our baby seemed to get frustrated with all the food getting stuck inside the fork tines that are multiple layers thick. I tested this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think this set is really innovative and smart I was really impressed with this utensil set, especially the fork! Baby utensils are all the same, short little stubby forks and spoons... but this Nuk Pretensil Set is different! We haven't used the spoon a ton just because we don't do a lot of purees or yogurts, but I can totally see how it would work better. We have been using the fork and its so clever - all the flexible tines make it so much easier to get food on the fork which makes it so much better for my little guy! I was given this feeding accessory to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but this review is all me! I think this is a really neat "pretensil" set and worth the buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute way to introduce utensils These are so cute!! I received this product through the Stellar Product testing panel. They’re the perfect size for tiny hands to learn how to use a fork and spoon. My daughter just “played” with it mostly but did try and feed herself. She would try and pick up food and pick at the food with them. I just wish the spoon was a little steeper for soups! But other than that, these are perfect to get them to learn to eat with utensils & be independent eaters!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good utensil set I received this utensil set as part of the stellar panel. This only works for soft foods that aren’t slimy. My son is not yet able to use it to pick up food. I was able to put food on the fork and then hand it to him. He could then put it in his mouth and eat it. Slimy foods such as strawberries or bananas would not stick to the fork. We only used the spoon once, and it resulted in my son being covered in a peanut butter-banana mess. It was not the fault of the spoon though. The result would’ve been the same for any spoon we gave him. He was able to use it enough to get food all over him though. The size and shape of the utensils are perfect for little hands. They were easy to pick up, hold, and put in his mouth. My main complaint about the utensils is the ease of cleaning. I put them in the dishwasher after a quick rinse. However, the food inside the fork tines didn’t come out in the dishwasher. I had to scrape the food out of the tines in order for it to get clean. We were able to successfully eat potatoes and peas with the fork.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile utensil set for toddlers I'm so grateful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this utensil set. Both my 1 year old and 3 year old enjoy using it. My 1 year old was in feeding therapy for several months and this spoon and fork set helped her in her transition to learning to eat solid foods. I really like that the spoon has a "stopper" feature so that my child does not accidentally gag themselves while learning to eat with utensils. The fork has many prongs that are flexible but firm- so it makes getting food onto the fork much easier from several angles (vs. a regular fork). They are also lightweight and easy to clean- no gunk/ food getting stuck on them. My 3 year old liked to give them a try too. They somehow even worked for her breakfast cereal! I'd highly suggest these for both new and experienced children who are starting to use utensils!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great starter utensil to learn how to eat This is great starter utensil for teaching little ones how to mimic the motions of eating with a fork and spoon. My baby is 10 months old and we do baby led weaning. The spoons have little holes that makes it easy for her to try to shovel yogurt and thick purees into her mouth. The fork is has a unique feature that it has many prongs forming a rectangle which makes it easier to stab at food. My 10 month old is too young to figure it out yet but my 4 year old tried using it and she was able to pick up soft foods like chicken, broccoli, potatoes with ease. These are made for left and right handed kids.
