Love the concept but I am a bad mom
I received this cup as part of a Stellar Product Testing Panel and I've been meaning to try them out. I love the idea of this cup. But I'm such a bad mom that my child is almost 4 and I haven't trained him out to use a real cup. He has a tough time going slow and the reason I didn't give it a higher score is...yes, it's MY fault that he can't figure out a cup, but I also wish there was a better way to make the water come out even slower. I feel like it's either closed or WATER EVERYWHERE. Again, I'm willing to admit it's mostly my fault, but we've had a lot of wet shirts over here.
Overall, it's worth trying...just try it on kids younger than mine.

May be suited for older kids
The NUK Sip Trainer can be a practical tool for older kids transitioning to a regular cup. My twelve month old was trenched in water every time she used it. The water speed didn’t start out as slow as I would have expected. It ended up being more stressful and needed to be supervised entirely while using the cup. Not to mention when they tipped it over it just created even more of a mess.
I wouldn’t recommend this product if your looking for an easy training cup, of all the other sippy cups I have used to train my older three children, this created the biggest mess.

Great sippy cup
My child was able to easily use this cup! We used mode number one and it worked well for our little girl! It did take her a little practice,but she got used to it! We like how the cup has different modes for different flows!! This is a great thing to add because not all babies like the same mode! The lock mode is also another cool setting, it helps keep the cup in lock while your baby enjoys her drink! It helps keep the cup from leaking! This cup is also incredibly easy to clean!! The pieces come apart easily! We use this cup pretty often and love it!! We were apart of the Stellar program panel and we absolutely love this sippy cup!

Training cup
We received the cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We love the concept of the cup. It is easy for our child to hold and there are three different flow options. The fist flow option was hard to tell if our child was drinking much as it does not flow fast, which is good but our child would get frustrated. The second setting seemed to open the flood gates. This took a few days for our kiddo to get used to drinking, but slowly but surely she was able to drink well. We really appreciated that there was a spot flow setting. This was great for travel. I would recommend this cup, but it is not perfect. I wish there was more granularity to the flow settings.

Great first non sippy cup
We received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was excited to try it with my 8 month old. We used the slowest flow at first and it took my baby some time to get used to it but he eventually learned. It was wet and messy while he was learning but this cup was great when it came to the spill-proof lock for on the go, it was very easy to clean, looked good, easy for my little one to hold on his own, and very easy to use. I do wish there was one more level of slower flow or a way to stop the liquid if he turns the cup suddenly only because water go everywhere when he was first learning how to use it even on the slowest flow. That is y only con for the cup.

Nice features
I received this cup as part of the Steller Product Testing Panel when my daughter was 8 months old. She is interested in trying to drink from our cups so I thought she'd be ready to try this. She's not quite ready for it and needs our help. It is hard to see how much she's getting when I help her. I like how you can adjust the flow and completely close it. She can also drink out of any side which will make it easier for her. It comes apart and goes together easy. There are a lot of grooves so I'll be interested in seeing how well it cleans as we use it more. It would be nice if it had handles to help her hold it. I think once she can do it on her own, it will be used frequently.

Poor design
I received the NUK Training Cup through the Stellar product testing panel. My daughter is 15 months and pretty advanced for her age and she was unable to use this cup due to poor design. Even when I set the cup on the lowest flow she could not use it because she would bring it up to drink and liquid would spill out of multiple places. I thought okay maybe she just isn’t ready for this cup but then I tried it it spilled all over me. The lock mode was nice because it did actually lock the cup and prevent spills. I like the concept of this cup, but overall I would not recommend this cup due to poor design.

Good for kids over a year old
My daughter was so excited when she got this in the mail from Stellar Product testing panel! She instantly loved the way the cup looked and felt in her hands. She is 3 and a half and it did take her a few times to figure out how to drink from it. The top part is too hard for her to do by herself so she can't close it by herself which means more messes for me to clean. The middle flow is really the only one you can use because the slow nothing really comes out and the fastest too much comes out and soaks your child. It will not leak if you have it closed which is nice for on the go. My 9 month old could not use this cup. I definitely think it should be for at least 1 year old and up.
