I was sad to say that the design back then, soft rubber with 3 slits, would always rip. I went on to transition to another brand. Years passed and we were blessed with another child last year. Not having a new child in a while I had to look at the cups again. I have to say NUK improvement in this cup is awesome. The spout is easy to clean and the spill proof stopper as well. Perfect for those learning hands. I am so happy and even more delighted with this product compared to the other brand I would buy. I am back to being a NUK customer! I now have a total of 6 of these cups.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Linds44 from Easy to use I received this product for free in exchange for writing this honest review. I have a young child and it was time to let her start to drink herself. Prior to moving to this cup we had always had a bottle and we helped her with drinking. The handles on the cup made it easy for her to hold while she was learning how to drink all by herself. It took her a while to get the hang of doing it but as soon as she figured it out she really liked the cup. As a parent it was nice that I could just put in the dishwasher and didn’t have to hand wash unless I wanted to. I would recommend this as a good starter cup as your child is learning to drink on their own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GraceElizabeth from Highly recommend to teach littles cup drinking. This learner cup, while obviously being cute, is very functional. As a pedi RN, I have always encouraged parents to wean off the bottle between 9 - 12 months of age for proper teeth development and decrease dental cavities. Our 4 kids were raised this way and now I am helping our grandchildren to do the same. Just offering sips of water daily through this cup at a young age will greatly help the child transition from bottle to cup over time. This cup is easy to hold and maneuver, parts are easy to clean, little hands can grab the contoured handles, and the mouthpiece is smooth and won’t hurt tender gums. It is a win-win - for early teaching of cup feeding and gentleness of product. Thank you Nuk!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Silv from The only one my son left his bottle for. I've been trying to get my son out of his bottle for a while. I've spent so much money and tried all different types of cups. All of the spouts are either too hard or the milk wouldn't actually come out. This one is perfect! I hesitated buying it because I hadn't seen it anywhere before, but I love NUK products and I am soooo pleased I did it. It took me 2 days and that's it. Now, I show him the bottle and this cup and ask him what he wants. He chooses this cup. I'm am so happy! Thank you NUK!

The handles make it easy for my little one to hold on while drinking and the spout is soft to drink from but I my say she also like to chew on it a bit when get new teeth. Very easy clean up! Received as a sample for free to see how my little one could handle and learn to drink from cup.

My daughter refuses to drink a hard nipple sippy and was chewing threw all the soft nipples and then they would leak. This has a spill proof plastic piece inside so no more spills. Just wish it came in more than 3 designs. But at least I don't have to keep buying new cups every month.

As he got older he started drinking every last drop of his drinks and he can't drink all of it out of this cup. The place where you put the silicone piece in is too high for all of his milk to come out. Don't recommend this cup if your child finishes every last drop.
