Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable Feel I received this cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, my child (18 months) really enjoyed using the NUK Learner Straw Cup. The straw and silicone part resting on my child's mouth was comfortable for her to use. The cup fit nicely into her hands and was easy to hold, maneuver, set down and pick up. The only reason I did not rate this product 5 stars is that at first, my child found it difficult to suck liquid through the straw. She became frustrated until she figured out she needed to suck with more force. My favorite feature of the cup is how it comes apart in several pieces for easy cleaning. I would recommend this product to a child learning to use a cup with a straw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Learning Without Spills I received the NUK Learner Straw from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Our one year old took to this cup right away. The handles on this cup make it easy for her to hold and are conveniently placed at the top so it can sit in a cup holder or be packed in the side pocket of a bag. She was able to drink from the cup the first time she tried it and the flexible straw makes getting water from the cup possible even when at a tilt. There are times when she will tilt the cup too much and cannot get water from the straw. The more she uses the cup, the less this happens as she learns to drink more proficiently. What I love most about this straw cup is that our little one can drink from a straw without the spills! Additionally, the silicone material of the straw ensures our daughter comfort. I was worried about cleaning the straw, but I have been able to fit a straw cleaning brush through it. This would be nice if included with purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love a cup that doesnt leak I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. After washing it, I filled it with water and my almost 2 year old immediately put it to the test by turning it upside down and bopping it up and down on the floor. No major leakage, maybe 2 drops! This cup is great, it was super easy for my child to drink from. The straw stayed right at the bottom! I love that the straw is short and soft and all the pieces come apart easily (and are easy to reassemble!) it did great in the dishwasher, is nice and big with measuring lines on the side. My favorite part is all the pieces are smooth so there’s no place for buildup or germs to hide.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cup I recieved this NUK learning straw from the Stellar Product Testing Panel for my review. It is a great cup for babies who can drink from a straw or if your baby is trying to learn! I love that the spout is a soft silicone! As my baby is walking around drinking I worry with some cups that if she trips she'll hurt her teeth when she falls, but his one is so soft! She loves the handles while holding it too. It is a top rack dishwasher safe cup! The only thing I don't like, is the inside can take a while to dry. I let it air dry for a day and I assumed it was fine and I put the cup back together and set in the cupboard. Later when I went to grab it there was humidity inside, so the straw wasn't all the way dry. I like things to be easy and go, so for me that was a bummer. Overall it is a great cup!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing straw cup The NUK Learner Straw Cup is great for little ones learning how to drink from a straw. I received this cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try. I had not been successful in getting my son to drink from any other straw cups, so I have to say, I was skeptical. He drank from this cup the first time he tried it and loves this compared to other cups he has tried. The handles seem very easy for him to grip and the silicone straw is very soft. I also like that it’s very easy to clean, including the silicone straw inside. I would definitely recommend this and will definitely be buying more of these learner cups.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great transition cup I received this Nuk learner straw cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I thought why not try it out. I have a 15 month old that will drink water from straw cups, but is so so on drinking milk from a straw cup. So when I saw this one, one I’ve never seen before, I thought why not let’s give this a shot! She at first didn’t want anything to do with it, knocking it over and I was surprised, that it really didn’t leak when on its side. She eventually took to the cup and I like how easy the pieces come apart to clean. It has a little bit of a weighted straw and this is my only issue as I find with these types of straws, they tend to hold milk in them and then leak from the straw. Overall a good and easy transition cup!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Training Cup This is my fifth child and I wish I had had this NUK Learner Straw cup for my other kids! The handles make the cup very easy for my 14 month old to hold and the silicone straw and sipping area are soft against his face. Even though my son will sometimes bite and chew on the straw, there are no bite marks on it yet and it has not deformed the straw at all. I love that the straw is weighted and that my son can’t pull the straw out of the cup. It is the most spill-proof and yet easy to use training cup we have ever tried- and we have tried a lot of them! Even when the cup was dropped or thrown, the only liquid that leaked was what was left in the very top of the straw. The cup seems very durable and even though it has been dropped many times, still looks brand new. My child learned how to drink from it quickly and loves carrying it around the house. I was skeptical putting anything in the cup besides water because the straw is long and thin, but found the straw can be separated into two pieces, which made for easy cleaning after a cup of milk. The only negative would be if it became a forgotten cup filled with milk or juice, as it would make cleaning the straw difficult once the liquid inside of it had dried. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this training cup!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nuk Learner Cup Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was given this training cup for my 15 month old to try out. It is now her favorite cup to use out of all of the other cups I’ve bought and tried. It’s extremely easy for her to use with the weighted straw and handles since she’s always on the go and carries it with her everywhere she goes. Since it has a soft silicone straw and sipping area I don’t have to worry about it injuring her if she happens to fall while running around with it. It’s a nice size which allows me to put more of her drink into it without having to fill it up as frequently. My favorite feature of the Nuk Learner Straw cup is the number of the ounces on the side of it. My daughter has a milk allergy so while we wait on her allergy appointment, she is still drinking formula and the number of ounces on the side makes it nice that I can use it for her formula. The Nuk Learner Straw is the first cup to meet all of my requirements of a cup which are- handles, soft weighted silicone straw, number of ounces on the side and the actual size of the cup. I will be ordering more!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could be better First off I’d like to thank the Stellar Panel for the product to test out! This cup looks and feels great. However my little one seemed to have a hard time drinking out of it so I tried it myself and it was quite frustrating trying to get a drink. The straw is soft and the handles were a nice feature, I just like it should be a little easier to drink from.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy for Baby to Use My little one loved the NUK Learner Straw and I loved how easy it was for him to drink from it. The soft, silicone straw makes this cup a no-brainer for littles just getting started with straw cups. The weighted portion of the straw makes it so that little one is able to finish every last bit of whatever delicious drink they’re enjoying too. My guy is able to hold his cup so easily in the car seat and on the go with the easy to grab handles on either side of the cup. We’ve had no issues with using or washing this cup. We wash it on the top rack of our dishwasher and it holds up wonderfully. I love that this is made from silicone and an FDA approved plastic so that it is safe for my baby to drink from. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing us with this cup to test and review!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 1 Year Old Approves I received this Nuk Learner Straw cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and it has been a hit with my 1 year old since the moment it was received! After a couple of weeks of constant use every day, I am quite pleased with the quality of this cup and find it to be the best and most durable Nuk cup we have had so far. The 2 handles, paired with the cup's light weight, make it incredibly easy for my son to hold and drink from 1-handed. I was initially concerned about the handle and lid setup on this Learner Straw cup because it was the same as the Nuk Learner cups we had used to transition him from his baby bottles that we unfortunately did not have a good experience with. It seemed like no matter how perfectly we had the handles placed with the cap when we screwed it on, we had issues with both of the 2 cups significantly leaking from those areas. As a result, we had to stop using the handles with those and our son was never able to utilize them. With this Learner Straw cup, however, I have been pleasantly surprised and am very pleased to say that we have not had this issue. In fact, we have had no issues with any leaking at all from anywhere on the cup! Therefore, the fact that we have been able to utilize the handles with this cup and don't have to worry about any leaks is a double bonus for both the child and the parent. The top silicone straw attachment of the bottle fits nice and snug in the plastic cap that screws onto the bottle, making it durable enough to be occasionally picked up and carried by the straw end itself without coming loose or displaced, potentially causing spills and leaks. I also like that the straw is thicker at the bottom to give it some weight, making it stay in the liquid easier during the occasional events that my son tries tilting it or drinking it while laying down, but is not too big or bulky like many other cups. I can tell that this straw is a little harder for him to suck liquid through then other straw cups he has, but he still chooses this cup over the others so it doesn't appear to be too difficult for him to the point that he is deterred from wanting to use it. The biggest win of all for me as a parent when it comes to the lid and straw is the fact that my son has a cup that is soft enough to bring comfort on his gums and teeth while he's using it, but does not have the liquid pour out when he tips the cup and pushes the top against a hard surface like all other silicone spout cups we have. The cleaning of the cup and all of its pieces is very easy, and I really like that it is all top-shelf dishwasher safe. Taking the cup apart for cleaning is also very easy, however, I wish I would have received instructions with this cup showing all of the individual parts to it and where they connect. Since I did not receive anything showing this, it was not until the 3rd or 4th time of cleaning it that I realized the straw portion that sits inside the cup actually detaches from the cap section so it can be better cleaned individually. While I am quite satisfied with this cup, I do have a couple of things that I dislike about it. The information that was provided with the cup indicates that the straw component should be replaced every couple of months. Not only do I personally not find it ideal to have to be replacing parts in things like a cup, but I also don't love that it is recommended to be done as often as every couple of months. As most parents know, time is constantly getting away from you when you have kids, so to be expected to remember to order replacement parts for cups seems a bit excessive to me. The other issue I have developed with this cup is it recommends cleaning after every use, as most cups do, but the inside straw portion that I discovered detaches seems to be loosing some of its quality and tightness in the area it attaches to the lid the more you detach and attach it. I have not experienced issues yet, but this gives me a little concern for the integrity of the cup and duration of use before there might be problems with the cup as a result of this. While I am quite satisfied with this cup, I do have a couple of things that I am not a fan of. The little information that was provided with the cup recommends replacing the straw about every 2 months. Not only do I personally not find it ideal to have to be replacing parts in things like a cup, but I also don't love that it is recommended to be done as often as every couple of months. As most parents know, time is constantly getting away from you when you have kids, so to try to have to remember to do something like purchase replacement parts for a cup for the sake of "hygiene and safety", as worded on the product information that was provided, seems a little excessive in my personal opinion. The information also says to wash after each use, as many cups do, but I have started to notice the part of the straw inside the cup that I discovered could be removed seems to be losing some of its quality and tightness the more it is detached and reattached to the cap. This gives me concern for the integrity of the cup in the near future, and the duration of the time you will be able to get use out of it without experiencing any issues or leaks. All-in-all I think it is a great learner cup, and have had a mostly positive experience with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nuktastic Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this training cup. My son is going to be 12 months old in about a week and we have been searching for a “sippy cup” that he will like. We’ve tried the spout sippy cups, but my son seems to choke on the water because it comes out too fast. We’ve tried other straw cups, but they seem to have floppy straws or the straw length isn’t great. This Nuk Learner Straw has been just what we are looking for. It has a nice silicone straw that is a perfect length. It is  just soft enough for comfort, but firm enough to withstand those new teeth. The handles make it fun for my little guy to hold and he loves grabbing it and moving it around. This cup is easy to handle and looks adorable, too. If your little one is like mine and likes to turn their cup upside down, it does not leak unless they hit it against the table. Even when this does happen, the mess is minimal. It even comes with a lid for traveling in backpacks and diaper bags. The measurements on the side are great for us because we are about to transition to using milk, instead of formula. This cup will be helpful when keeping track of just how much milk he is getting, but also come in handy if we need to measure out a mixture of formula/milk. If your child is new to sippy cups, I would recommend trying this cup!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great transitional cup When I first received the cup, I was so excited to see that it is compatible with other Nuk brand sippy cups, which my twin boys current use. The size is perfect for them to be able to hold the cup themselves but still fill up with plenty of milk or water. My boys are just learning how to use straws, so I was glad to see the plastic was very soft/they couldn't hurt themselves with it. I appreciate that these are dishwasher safe, a must in our household. Once my boys are better with straws, I am planning on replacing their sippy cups with these! Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to try this product. Can't wait to buy more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Near Perfect This NUK Learner Straw is a new favorite in our house. My toddler took to it immediately. The handles are carefully crafted for little hands to grip, and if your child is like mine they will be carrying this everywhere. No worries about messes or accidents while it is being toted around the house -- this cup is spill proof, and the sipping area is made of soft, supple silicone. From an aesthetic standpoint, the simple, contrasting shades of neutral matte blue are elegant and eye-catching. The cup is lightweight and durable; it is able to withstand tosses and tumbles without receiving or causing damage. I really appreciate the careful consideration of the materials used for this cup. For younger toddlers just transitioning to cups, this really is as close as you can get to perfection. The pliable sipping area so closely simulates the comfort of a bottle while providing the more advanced oral motor skill development of a straw. The cup fits in the beverage pocket of a diaper bag, and the straw spout is compatible with other NUK learner cups if you want or need to change things up a little. From a practical parent standpoint, my favorite feature of the NUK Learner Straw is just how easy it is to clean. It is dishwasher safe. I hand wash baby items, and I have to say as a mom of two this is hands down the easiest straw cup I've come across. The construction is just so simple. There are no small pieces to lose or fuss with. The weight of the straw comes from additional silicone on either side of its bottom. There are no nooks, crannies, or hard to reach places to accumulate water or debris, so even with minimal scrubbing you can rest assured that the cup stays in pristine condition after each wash. If I were to nitpick, the one thing about the cup that isn't perfect is that the weighted end of the straw doesn't necessarily fall down to reach the water every single time when tipped upside down. This has not been an issue for us, even with my toddler using it at the most impractical angles. The only reason I noticed this is because I intentionally tipped it upside down so many times myself to check just how unspillable it was (It is as spill proof as a cup can be). Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this wonderful cup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seamless transition My LO needed no time taking to this straw bottle. He loves the handles and carries it around everywhere. I love that it doesn't spill as he carries it around everywhere. The controlled flow also helps prevent choking, which happens often when he drinks through free-flowing straws. The size and volume of the bottle is convenient as well - not too big so it fits in our bags/backpacks but not so small that we have to refill constantly. I also love that he can't pull the straw out - it's a constant struggle with straw cups as he loves to play with the straws and pour out the liquid. It's super easy to clean, and the materials seem durable and of high quality. Recommend! I wish we had had received this cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel earlier on when we were first trying to get him used to straw cups. But better late than never!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best training cup with straw This is the best training cup with a straw I’ve tried for my 9 month old so far. My little guy has tried drinking out of 2 other brand cups so far with no success but was able to sip some water out of this NUK cup. He loves picking it up himself with the handles and putting it in his mouth by himself. I love how I don’t have to worry about him poking the inside of his mouth since the straw is so soft. Also, this cup was SUPER easy to wash! It’s only 3 pieces and comes apart and goes back together very quickly! So far, this is our favorite cup and we will definitely be getting more in the future! We were given this cup for free to test as part of the Stella product testing panel, but I would DEFINITELY have no problem spending money on this cup so we can have more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Cup for Adventures My one-year-old loves this cup and I do too. I’ve read that straw cups are the best for oral and speech development and my two older children would only drink out of Nuk straw cups, so I was excited to try this version when the Stellar Product Testing Panel offered it. I like how soft all the parts that touch baby’s face are and I love that the straw is weighted inside so it doesn’t have to be perfectly upright for her to get water when it’s close to empty. The whole straw from mouth to bottom of the cup is one piece, so you don’t have to worry about the straw detatching inside the cup. It’s the perfect size for on the go and not too big to stick in the side pocket of my day pack. It helps baby stay hydrated when we are on adventures. I like that it has a cap to cover the straw, which protects against leaks and keeps the straw clean. The cap is a little hard for an adult to get off and I’m afraid it might get lost easily since it’s it not attached, but overall it’s a plus. The handles are the perfect size for small hands, but can be left off as baby grows and no longer needs them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nuk learner straw is a functional cup for littles I received the NUK Learner Straw cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My 18 month old has been using this cup for a couple weeks now and it has worked exactly as described! The handles are the perfect size for his little hands and while the cup holds a decent amount of liquid, is still small enough to fit into his highchair cup holder. The soft silicone straw is gentle on his mouth and although it’s only been a couple weeks, he hasn’t been able to chew up the straw unlike other ones we have owned. It is easy to clean as everything is see-through so there is no mystery residue left in the straw. My favorite part is the weighted straw that gathers the last bits of liquid and makes it easy for my son to drink no matter what position the cup is in. It is nearly leak proof but it only has ever leaked small drops of water which the packaging says can happen if some water is left in the tip of the straw. The only thing I do not like about the cup is that I tasted a strong plastic taste when I tried drinking from it and have just started to notice the taste going away although it’s still there. I don’t really like the idea of my son drinking water that tastes like plastic but I do think the taste will go away with time. I would recommend this cup to moms with littles that are transitioning from bottles and/or nursing and are looking for something that does not leak and is easy to drink from.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for little ones We received this product from Stellar Product Testing Panel. My 2 year old son liked how easy it was to hold the cup. It is spill proof which we love! My son didn’t always go to this cup and preferred his other straw cups. I think it’s because this cup is a little harder to sip out of and he didn’t have the patience for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Onboarding I received this product through the Stellar product testing panel. My daughter (1.5) picked it up and starting using it right away without skipping a beat. As a typical toddler she poked and prodded and turned it in every direction. The cup held up perfectly, with little to no water coming out. It separates into several pieces to allow for easy cleaning, and was easy to put back together after. I like that some of the parts are interchangeable with other NUK cups. I also like that the handles come down from the top rather than up from the bottom because this allows it to fit in her car seat cupholder. The only thing I could ask for would be a way to close it that was attached to the cup (rather than a removable cap that we will likely lose). Overall pleased and would certainly buy more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nuk straw cup review At first glance, I like to look at the cup. I love that the cover is interchangeable with other nuk cups. The one thing I will tell you I don’t like right away is that it’s difficult to clean if you put anything besides water in the cup. The weighted straw cannot fit a straw cleaning brush, so unless you wash it immediately after use, it will never be clean and you risk having milk dried to the inside of it or the juice. The spout is great it is soft, so I don’t worry about my little one walking around with it. I can’t gouge any holes in his place or mouth. As much as I don’t like the straw for anything else because of the difficulty to clean it, I would absolutely recommend this cup as a water cup. I did receive this cup for no charge in exchange for doing a review on the stellar product testing panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New favorite cup I am so excited to share how much we love the NUK learner straw cup! We received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and have been trying it out for the past week. At first I honestly wasn’t sure how my little one was going to like it, but quickly saw that this was going to be our new favorite! What I loved about the straw design is that it really is the perfect design for babes transitioning from a bottle or just breastfeeding since it fits into the mouth similarly to a bottle. The handles also make it really easy for my little one to hold. She’s just been walking around with it non-stop, it’s so cute. I love the slim design, easy to clean, and I really like the look of the product. Highly recommend you purchase this item to help your little one transition to a straw cup. I’ve already purchased another one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NUK sippy cup I was given this training cup to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel! My 20 month year old twins loved them because it was easy for them to hold and use. They did not spill, which is huge for me especially when my toddlers are in the throwing phase. They could run around with them and use them on the go. It was fairly easy to clean as all the pieces come apart easily. It held up well in the dishwasher which is also a must have as a busy mom. Definitely will be buying more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great learner straw cup My daughter has been working on drinking from a straw cup independently. Because she’s so used to a bottle or sippy cup, she always lifts the cup up and tilts her head back. With a typical straw cup the water goes to the top of the cup and then no water can come out. This cup has worked great with her because the bottom of the straw is weighted and moves to where the water goes, allowing her success even when tilting the cup. Another favorite feature is that it is no spill! My daughter loves to play with her cups and turn them over and this cup prevents her from getting water everywhere. I received this product as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Big Girl Cup My daughter is currently 16 months old and we started trying to transition her from the bottle to a sippy cup around her first birthday to no avail. Either it was a no spill cup which was a positive for me and her dad but a struggle for her to get anything out of ( I tried it to to be fair and that sucker was not giving up the juice lol) or it freely spilled all over the place or poured out too intensely causing my daughter to choke from trying to swallow too much at once. We'd almost given up and accepted that the bottle wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon when I got the invitation to try the Nuk Learner Straw Cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Maybe the straw would be an easier transition because there's the sucking aspect just like with the bottle and you can close the top to prevent the spilling. I got the email that the cup was on the way. Perfect. It was time. The big girl cup was in full effect. While we waited on the cup I saw a cool looking sippy cup at Walmart that looked just like a bottle but with the nipple shaped like a sippy cup and I grabbed it not expecting things to go too much different from the million other sippy cups babygirl rejected like a Simon rating on American Idol, but hey why not right? Got home, filled it up with juice and gave it to her and went to pick something up. I turned around and my daughter was sipping effortlessly out of her new sippy cup. A moment I have been waiting for for so long. I mean she's an adult now pretty much because this was the transition of a lifetime in my eyes. I wasn't prepared. I had to call every branch of the family tree to let them know how amazingly advanced my daughter was. It was that day of the random sippy cup buy at Walmart that we also received the Nuk Learner Straw Cup, as well. I wasn't sure if two different cups in one day would be overwhelming or if we'd better go ahead and try it while she was in the mood to blow our minds. So I filled the Nuk Learner Straw Cup up with water, trying to give my daughter the no pressure face and let her have at it. I guess it was just her time to shine because she took to that cup like Phelps to water. We allowed her to keep the Walmart cup for juice and the Learner Straw for water and it was a healthy alternating relationship for a while but something got caught in the straw of the cup that no matter how much it soaks or I run water through it it just won't come out. It was a very decent cup. Easy for her to hold, good about the spills, with just an overall cool design. I'm also ridiculously emotionally attached to the cup now because that cup was one of the big girl transition cups but the cleaning aspect is the only reason I won't give it a 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great product from NUK We have the NUK learner cup (and the large one) that our kiddo took to right away so when it was time to upgrade him to a straw cup it was a no brainer for us to turn to NUK. He was used to the handles and cup design already which are easy for him to grab and it took him just a few times to understand how straws work...this is our new go-to cup! We like that the straw is soft because he is often flinging this around toward his face and he can gnaw on it all he wants without ruining the silicone. The quality is exactly like our other NUK cups which we loved. Even though our little one isn't drinking more than a few ounces a day we like to fill this up all the way so that he can get used to the weight and it's easier for him to drink out of. Favorite feature is that this is all dishwasher approved so we can just take it apart at the end of the day (see pic) and throw it in the dishwsasher. The pieces are easy to clean and seem like they will hold up well. I received this training cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NUK Learner Straw I received the NUK Learner Straw product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, we probably won't continue using this cup due to a couple of design flaws. I liked the larger capacity for my 12-month-old who is now drinking 8-10oz bottles. The included handles were also great and definitely made it easier for him to hold compared to cups without handles. The silicone sipping area was nice and soft and he had no issues drinking from the straw. Ease of cleaning was also fine, no different than other straw cups. I also liked how light it was, which in theory is great for on-the-go. But, we had two main issues with the cup. The upper portion of the straw is just long enough that it holds liquid after my little one is done sipping so that if he pulls away too quickly, it flicks up and sprays liquid into his face, which he doesn't enjoy. This might not be an issue for older children who understand cause and effect more, but my toddler repeatedly does it so water/milk goes everywhere. The other issue is that the bottom portion of the straw detaches from the lid too easily when there's any agitation against it (like if my kid is chewing the straw, which he does often since he's teething). So the straw will fall into the cup, rendering it useless until you open up the bottle and re-attach it to the lid. These two things have been dealbreakers for me so I really just don't find myself grabbing it at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good short term product but likely will not last I was given this training cup to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My initial concern with it was the height of the cup, as a taller cup typically means more water can leak out of it. The good news is that we’ve had zero leaks with this cup, even when being left for hours on its side. The handles are nice to offset the height, which can sometimes be tricky for little ones. My 15-month-old quickly adapted to the soft, weighted straw and drank more easily from it than other trainer cups. He is constantly throwing his cups down from his high chair and I can confidently say this cup can withstand that type of misuse without springing any leaks. I also appreciated that the entire top of the cup was soft, as my little one often wanders around with his cups dangling from his mouth. It’s nice to not worry that the cup could injure him if he were to fall with it in his mouth. My biggest hesitation with this product is keeping the soft straw clean on the inside. The instructions state not to use straw/pipe cleaners to clean this straw due to the soft material of the straw. They also recommended replacing the straw insert after a few months of use. Both of those sound a little unrealistic for long-term use. Likely what will occur in my house is that we’ll eventually see the straw start to show signs of mold and we’ll toss the whole cup at that point. It’s not a product conducive to saving for the next little one in line. Due to my eco-friendly (and cost-saving) preferences, I had to knock down my overall review of this cup. I would prefer to invest in a product that can be reused across multiple kids.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No leaks but hard to suck at start We received this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The cup is great! Good size and each for our baby to grab. The soft silicone straw is nice as well so he doesn't hurt his mouth while trying to drink or chew on the straw. It didn't leak as he would turn the cup in various angles but at the start it was very hard for him to suck fluid up the straw. It did get a little easier the more times he used it but it still takes more effort than some of his other straw cups. Overall, good cup, good size, works well.
