Nuk Learner Straw is a Winner
The Nuk Learner Straw has quickly become the favorite cup in our household for both my daughter and myself. My daughter loves the soft silicone straw, the soft silicone top, and the weighted straw that allows her to drink in various positions. The handles also allow her to hold and carry the cup with ease around the house and at the playground. Mom loves the fact that this cup absolutely does not leak. This is the first soft silicone straw cup that I have found that does not leak and end up with water everywhere. For this reason, this is now our go to cup for leaving the house and being out and about. It will not leak all over the car seat and it does not leak in the diaper bag. On top of that, the cup is easy to wash and the parts come apart easily to keep in clean. I would highly recommend this cup for anyone who is transitioning to a straw cup for their little.

Great Cup
Full disclosure, I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. My 10-month-old daughter had never used a straw before and figured this cup out immediately. I was shocked; I figured there would be some fumbling, and then likely a refusal and I would have to offer it a few times before it took. I was wrong, she figured it out right away. The best part about this cup is not having to worry about her jamming her gums on a hard straw. The entire top is made like a bottle nipple with silicone which I think helped as it was a familiar feeling for her. The handles are great, they make it very easy for her to hold and position properly to drink. While I like the larger size of this cup for use throughout the day and to take with us on outings, it's difficult for her to get it low enough to drink from when she is in her highchair. That's really the only downside of the cup and might not even be one for you if your kiddo is taller or your highchair tray is lower. All in all, a great cup and introduced a straw to my daughter much earlier than I would have without it.

NUK Learner Straw
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this training cup. The NUK learner straw training cup is a wonderful item. My one year old loved using the NUK. He found it extremely easy to hold as well sip from the soft flexible straw. The handle fit easily in his hands making it simple for him to hold on to while drinking and in between sips. My son had an easy time drawing water out of the soft straw which molded to his lips. I loved the fact that my son had a very easy time holding the cup. He did not put it down in between bites of his food and sips of his drink. The handle was just the right size to make it easy to hold yet not get in his way. The soft straw fit in his lips nicely. I was able to see the straw mold to the opening of his mouth leaving him the ability to create suction easily. The weighted portion of the straw made it possible to drink easily as well. My son did not have to try to figure out which way to lean the cup for the liquid to meet the bottom of the straw as the weighted straw moved with the angle he held the NUK in. The cup was the perfect size for a one year old to hold. It held enough liquid but did not cause any fatigue in my son’s hand. The NUK is a quality cup, it is strong but light. The cup seems as if it was dropped it would not break. Overall I was very pleased with the NUK. My favorite part of this product is the easy to hold handles. My son would not put the NUK down.

Perfect weighted straw cup for beginners
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this training cup. My son is 11 months and we began training him to use a straw with this cup. I immediately noticed how soft the straw was and my son did too apparently because he decided to bite on it for about a week and a half until he was able to finally drink from it. The handles were perfect sized for him to grasp, and I LOVED that when he threw the cup across the room (multiple times a day), nothing spilled out, even without the cover on. I also liked that the size of the cup is large enough to carry around 10 ounces of liquid but not too bulky to be thrown in a baby bag (although the removable handles helped with that). The one thing I would say is: don’t give up because it definitely takes time to learn how to use the straw in the beginning. However, this is a great learner cup for those trying to move away from the bottle.

Sleek Straw for Experienced Straw Drinkers
The NUK Learner Straw came in 10 oz bottle that my baby found easy to hold. While my baby loved chewing on the soft, silicon straw, this straw did not help teach him how to drink from a straw. Though, I expect that if he already knew how to drink from a straw, he would have taken to this straw right away. My favorite part about the straw was that it did not leak or spill, no matter how many times my baby flipped the cup upside down and threw it on the floor. This is different from many other straws we have tried. The bulb at the end of the straw keeps the liquid from freely flowing out, and only works in response to a baby sucking from the straw. One downside to keep in mind is that it can be a bit difficult to clean inside the straw tubing. Though, overall this is a great straw for babies who already have experience drinking from cups. NUK Learner Straw
I received NUK Learner Straw as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have to say, I was quite impressed how flexible the silicone straw was. No need to worry about accidents or injuries. The plastic handles on both sides of the cup made it easy for little hands to pick up the cup. And since the flexible straw inside the cup extends almost to the bottom, there was no need to tilt the cup, which was very convenient at mealtimes. I did find that it required quite a bit of suctioning to get the fluid up the straw. Since my 9 month old had no prior experience with a straw, it took her few tries to figure it out. The cup comes apart easily to wash and refill. When fully closed the straw does not leak, even without the cover. The size of the cup seemed just right, especially when packing for full day.

NUK Learner Straw Cup
As a first time mom to a 19 month old boy, I am learning daily that he likes to stay busy and keeping him hydrated is key! The NUK Learner Straw Cup has greatly helped with both of those things! It's been hard to get my busy boy to stop and take a sip of water as we've previously had cups with no handles and it can be a little awkward to drink out of. The NUK's two handles on the cup make it perfect for him to grab and drink on his own. The weighted straw is also a plus because he can still get water out when holding the cup at different angles. One thing that really stood out to me about this cup was the size. A lot of other learner cups with handles are smaller and will barely hold enough liquid for one meal. The NUK Learner Straw Cup is big enough so you aren't having to refill a cup multiple times a day. It's perfect for those long park days or busy play dates! He loves the soft silicone straw, and so do I as he runs everywhere and it's a great safety feature! It's super easy to clean, which is a huge plus as a parent who doesn't want to spend a huge chunk of time cleaning bottles and cups. I give this cup a 5 out of 5 stars and so does my toddler! He may give it a 6 out of 5 since it can also fit in his toy car LOL! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this training cup!

Love This Cup for Littles
I received this product as a member of the Stellar Products testing panel. I have tried multiple straw cups for my little guys and they have been hit and miss every time. This one, however, had been a total hit. My 11 month old is the one who uses it the most, but my toddler also enjoys it. There are many things I love about this cup - it is large (holds 10 ounces), it has handles which make it easy for younger kiddos to hold, and the water moves through the straw easily yet it doesn’t seem to leak! The straw is silicone, which is comfortable for babies, but a little harder to clean. The cup does come apart into multiple pieces. I found that soaking it in soapy water before washing it was the best way to clean it. I also love that it comes with a lid and that the straw fits other NUK cups. Overall, this is a great product and I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Good trainer cup for beginners
I was given this training cup to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
My daughter loves this cup! The handles make it so easy for her to hold and the larger size means less refills throughout the day. The straw is a nice, soft silicone and is long enough for her to drink out of comfortably. The weighted straw also makes it easy for her to drink at any angle. I also love that water doesn’t leak out of the top like weighted straw cups are known to do, a huge perk!
The cup comes apart easily to be ran through the dishwasher and is just as easy to reassemble. I also appreciate that the weighted straw is one solid piece instead of a weight attached to the straw.
However, the cup did not come with a brush to clean the straw out which I found a bit surprising. I also didn’t care for the lid being completely removable. I would have liked to see it built in to the cup. It’s just one more piece to have to worry about losing while out in public. Lastly, aesthetically, this cup looks a lot like a bottle. This doesn’t affect the function of course but I just don’t care for it personally.
Overall, my daughter really likes this cup and at the end of the day that’s what matters. We’ll definitely be using this for years to come!

Good for Teething
The NUK Learner Straw was sent to me for review by the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My 9-month-old enjoyed the cup, but it was challenging for her to use. The silicon top was very durable for my teething baby, and she could easily hold the cup by the handles and navigate the straw into her mouth, as shown in my pictures. She also dropped it numerous times from her highchair onto a hard floor, and the cup did not crack or break. At her age, however, the suction required was too challenging for her to be able to drink from the straw. It is also a very long cup (the same size as a 9 oz bottle), making it hard for her to use while sitting at the table/ in the high chair. The straw also does not have a weighted bottom that allows babies to drink even when tipping the cup like they are used to with a bottle.
Overall, this cup was durable and fun for my baby to explore, so I think it is a good option to build her skills, but I do not think the design is best for babies under 12 months.

Great Transitional Cup
My little one (14mos) loved this cup! We had been struggling to get him to find a cup that he liked: the strawless sippers made him drink too fast, and the full-fledged straw cups were too much for him. This cup has handles for easy gripping, and he took to the straw immediately. I loved the size and feel of the soft straw, and he was able to drink a good amount per sip without spraying or dribbling milk everywhere because of the flow control attachment at the bottom of the straw. My only critique is it was a little annoying to clean, but not annoying enough to not want to use it.

Great Starter Cup
My son is 8 months old and just starting to drink from a straw. I received this cup to try with him from Stellar Product Testing Panel. Previous cups we've tried were difficult for him to hold and drink from, but not this one! The double handles made it extremely easy for him to grasp onto while working on sucking from the straw. Also it is very easy to take apart and clean, which is my number one requirement as a busy mom! The included cap is my favorite part so that it's easy to take on the go and use for months to come!

Nice straw cup for learning toddlers
The NUK learner straw cup is a great drinking option for my 1.5 yr old toddler. The handles make it easy for him to hold and the straw is bendy and nice for chewing on but robust enough to not crack between little teeth. The cup is easy to drink from and doesn't leak. It's also a larger size than some starter cups so you don't need to refill as often. Overall it seems like good quality and my little boy likes it so much that he brought it to nap time with him.
However, I will likely limit the cup to use with only water as it seems the straw would be difficult to clean out (and it's too narrow to drink smoothies or other thick drinks through). Also, if you put too much ice in the cup, the silicone straw can get twisted up between the cubes. Unfortunately, since the screw-on cap and handle ring are separate pieces that turn independently, it's a little bit trickier to get the lid on and off (especially when wet).

Great leak proof straw cup option
I was given this training cup to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Initially, I wasn’t sure how much I would like the cup for my toddler, as we had regularly been using another “weighted” straw cup. However, upon receiving this NUK Learner Straw cup, I was pleasantly surprised!!
My son took to the cup very quickly, hauling it around the house with him by the handles. He was able to drink easily from it and I wasn’t worried about a hard plastic straw hurting him if he fell over. The best part? IT HASN’T LEAKED!! Our other straw cups are constantly leaking or water somehow sneaks up the straw while it’s sitting somewhere but I haven’t noticed that at all on this cup. I also really appreciate that the straw piece pops into two pieces for easy cleaning. I do think more of a weighted straw would be nice for the times my kiddo thinks he needs to tip the cup fully up, but he quickly learned that he wasn’t going to get much water that way, so it wasn’t a huge issue at all. We previously used other NUK sippy cups, so the size is great and something we are used to!
We have taken this cup all over town with us and have really enjoyed having it! I’ve found myself grabbing it before any of the other straw cups we have.

AMAZING Cup for Littles
The NUK Learner Straw gets a 10/10 in our household! I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and prior to receiving it, my son had never used a sippy cup with a straw. He understood the concept right away; I was so impressed. It’s easy - and comfortable - for him to hold, and the weighted silicone straw is such a nice feature as he learns how to use a different type of cup. It’s also super easy to take apart and clean, which I love. I would definitely recommend this cup to anyone with a baby who’s learning how to drink more independently!

Most natural training cup out there
I was given this training cup to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. All I can say is that “YOU NEED THIS CUP!” My 10 month old picked it up without hesitation and immediately was drinking out of it. The soft silicon at the top made sucking on it very easy and natural especially for a nursing baby. The handles are perfect size and give the baby plenty of holding options. I think the size of the cup was just fine but I wouldn’t mind a smaller size option. The best part is it doesn’t leak!! You have to give it a really good shake to get any drops out. The cleaning was a bit tricky with the straw but once I messed with it a little, it cleaned nice and easy. Overall I was very impressed with this sippy and would recommend it to any parent out there. I even bought a spare for myself!

Great cup for learning to drink with a straw
The NUK Learner Straw cup was incredibly easy for my little one to hold and drink from. The soft silicone straw and sipping area helped him feel comfortable experimenting with the straw until he figured out how to use it. I was happy to see him engaging with it without having to worry about him hitting his teeth on hard plastic. My one-year-old was easily able to hold the cup himself and even walk around carrying it. The handles were well-spaced for his little hands. The cover stays on well, which was definitely helpful for keeping sand out of his mouth when we took the cup to the beach. I love that it does not spill when he inevitably holds it upside down or throws it, although some water does leak if it is shaken while upside down. The only thing that I didn't love about the cup was its size. The cup holds 10 oz, which felt like too much for my son to drink in one sitting. The cup was easy to clean in the dishwasher, and I will definitely keep reaching for it, especially when we are on the go! Easiest Straw
We were given the Nuk Learner Straw from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. And it was an instant favorite! Our little one likes it as it’s easy to drink from, lightweight, and she can finally get every drop of her milk or water thanks to the weighted straw. And we love it as it’s easy to clean and has never spilled! I wish we had this when our older two were little. Now to swap out our other cups for more Nuk Learner Straws!

Finally a straw cup that does not leak
My about-to-be-2-year-old has been through dozens of straw cups and we’ve yet to find one that doesn’t leak when thrown (as she is wont to do). Until we got the Nuk learner straw cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This thing is awesome! No leaks, even when chucked around the room. Soft straw that’s comfy on her sore gums (poor kiddo has been teething nonstop for a year). Convenient handles for carrying and holding to drink. I was worried this wouldn’t have much longevity as it’s a training cup, but this quickly replaced the weighted straw cups and water bottles in our rotation—including the other one in the photo here—she shoved that one away in favor of the Nuk. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Drinkable from almost any angle
My 19-month-old son really enjoys drinking from this straw cup, and I love how mess-free it is too! We were given a cup to try out as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, as my son still dumps open cups all over himself and uses straw cups most of the time. This has become one of our favorites.
One of the big reasons I like this cup more than some others is that the straw is flexible and weighted at the bottom, so that the end of the straw is almost always in the liquid unless it's totally upside down. This is a big plus for me because my son still sometimes doesn't understand that for straw cups, you have to keep the bottom of the cup DOWN in order to drink. (Whereas for bottles and cups with spouts, you have to tip them UP - the confusion is understandable.) But with this cup, because the straw is flexible and weighted, he can still drink from it if it's horizontal or even a little above horizontal (see picture). This has reduced a lot of our frustration with straw cups.
I also appreciate that the straw is one-directional, so that it doesn't spill. The packaging allows that there might be "a few drops" from the top of the straw that get out, which does seem possible, but in our experience even that didn't happen! It provides a great sense of security to know that I can let him wander off with it without having to worry about him getting water or milk everywhere.
That said, the drawback of the straw being flexible and one-directional is that it is a little tricky to keep clean. The straw comes in two pieces which must be separated in order to clean, and it is fairly narrow which means that you really need a small brush which is specifically for straws. I would not trust the dishwasher with this task. The fiddliness of the cleaning is my main complaint, but in my experience this is the case for ANY one-directional straw cup, not just this one. (Relatedly, the packaging said that the straw should be replaced every two months for hygiene reasons - I'm not sure how often I will feel the need to replace it in practice, but regardless I don't love the consumable element.)
Otherwise, I like the shape and size of the cup, and I appreciate how it has handles that make it easy for chubby little hands to grab. The straw is soft and fairly short, and my son had no problem drinking from it.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cup for parents who are at (or looking to transition to) the straw cup stage. It's baby-friendly, parent-friendly, easy to use, and thoughtfully designed. Just make sure you have a tiny straw brush to clean it with!

A leak free learner cup
The NUK learner straw cup is loved by me and my 20 month old. Overall this is a great cup to have while transitioning from a sippy cup to water bottles with a straw.
Other straw cups and bottles we have tried leak from the straw when flipped over. The NUK learner straw cup doesn’t leak! That makes it perfect to give my son while we are in the car and I can’t easily monitor him.
The straw has a small weight in the bottom, allowing my son to drink from the cup even when tipping his head back. The silicone straw is very soft and comfortable to drink from.
I love that all pieces of the cup are compatible with our other NUK sippy cups, allowing me to interchange parts easily. We received the cup in a cute light blue color. It comes with a handle to help little hands hold the cup but we found that my son was old enough to easily hold it without the handle. It holds 10 oz of liquid and is narrow enough to fit in the car seat cup holder.
Overall, my favorite features are the leak proof design and weighted straw. We will definitely continue to use this cup for our 1 year old and for younger babies in the future!

Awesome cup
I received this cup as part of a my stellar review product tester, my 20 month old liked this cup. It was easy to hold and the top was nice and soft. Loved the size of the cup and the easy to grab handle. The weighted straw was great and easy to clean. He had a hard time sucking out of the straw, you need a lot of suction to be able to get anything out, but it didn’t spill either like a lot of other cups do. Overall, it’s a great cup.

Every last drop
I recieved this product as part of the stellar product testing panel and I hope I can leave a review that helps all of you who are like me with a toddler like mine!
My 18 month old has tried his fair share of straw sippy cups but I think he's finally found his favorite. The Nuk Learner straw has a list of pros, including my favorite, the full, soft silicone sipping area and straw. It is soft on my sons face which gives me comfort. Another pro is the weighted straw Inside, unlike other products we've tried, this one touches the very bottom and allows him to get every drop. We also love the double sided handle for ease of use and carrying! This cup is the perfect sizefor my son and comes with measurements down the side for peace of mind. It fits perfectly in any cup holder from his high chair to his stroller.
The only con I have found with this cup, which still doesn't change my great opinion of it, is that the straw does detach from the inside of the lid on occasion, if your child is like mine and likes to throw his cup across a room from time to time which also bring me to the quality of the cup itself!
He has tossed this cup I don't know how many times, it has fallen from up high and scraped on concrete and there isn't a sign of damage or cracks, it's holding up well! From one mother of 3 whose tried it all, you will not be disappointed when you try the Nuk Learner straw sippy cup.

Fun new cup that is easy to use
We received this cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and we’re excited to try it. Our son (15 months) took to it immediately. We’ve been using a smaller Oxo cup so I like this bigger size of this Nuk product. It was easy for him to drink out of straight away, and he was so excited when we handed it to him the first time.
I like that it still has handles, which is still helpful for his little hands at this age. The straw was easy to use, and did not result in any water coming back out of his mouth like has happened with some other straws we have tried.
We did experience some leaking when he left the cup lying on our carpet. It was nothing major, but some thing to note. The other challenge is cleaning the straw. The thin pipe cleaner type straw cleaners that we have on hand would not fit inside the straw, so my main concern is keeping it clean. if we can figure that part out I think this is a great cup

Wonderful learner straw cup
I received this cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and am so pleased with it! My son was a slow learner with solids and this cup helped him learn to use a straw! The straw and top of the cup are soft silicone which made him happy to drink from it. I really enjoyed the weighted straw so he can get liquid from any angle he is holding it without me having to help. The handles meant he had no issues holding it and drinking independently. The best part was how easy it was to clean; the straw part comes off from the top so all I had to do was squeeze it while running under water and it cleaned immediately, no need to use a straw brush. My only complaint is how tough the covering cap was to get on and off. It clicks on so tight I struggled with it and just without using it.

Our new favorite cup
I received this training cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. As soon as it came in my 10 month old was reaching for it! The handles made it so easy for him to hold and use himself (which was very helpful for me as well!). He didn’t have much experience with a straw before using the cup, but it took him no time to figure out how to use it! I loved that the whole top was silicone because he has a tendency to be rough with his cups. It was durable and soft so he wasn’t able to hurt the cup or himself. The quality was great and it was big enough to fit enough for him to drink, but not too big so he could still hold it easily. Our favorite part about this cup was how easy it was to take apart and clean. The parts all separate easily and you’re able to quickly get a very good clean! Overall this cup was great and is our new favorite!

Nuk Learner Straw
We received the NUK Learner Straw as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We LOVED it!! It has been so hard for us to find a silicone straw cup that doesn’t leak, is easy for our little one to hold, and easy to clean. As soon as we gave this cup to our little one they were in love! The handles make it so easy to hold, and it doesn’t leak when it gets held upside down (this is a big plus for us!) Our little one is becoming super independent and loves to drink on the move. We are always nervous about giving them straw cups in case they fall with it in their mouth.. but this one has a soft straw and top piece so we were not nervous at all! Another plus for us is that it really does NOT leak! Meal time includes a lot of ‘chuck the cup’ from our little one.. and many other cups we have tried always leave a puddle on the floor. This one does not!
I am removing one star because after we had milk in the cup and washed with soap, we gave the cup to our little one and they refused it. Telling us no and spitting out the milk as if it tasted bad. I’m thinking maybe some of the soap taste stuck to the silicone.. After cleaning AND running through sanitizer we did not have this issue again. So I will say clean and sanitize is probably best for this cup!
