New Favorite Cup
The first thing we noticed was that this cup was much easier for our toddler to hold than our other straw cup which has flat/smooth sides. The convex sides with texture avoided any accidental drops have grown used to. Even if this cup were to be dropped (which happens often with a toddler) it feels very durable and will hold up.
The straw is by far the simplest one we’ve found to clean and makes disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling a breeze!
The straw is very soft and flexible which will be very nice once our baby grows and begins to use this.
Overall this is an amazing cup and we would strongly recommend it. Thanks Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending us this cup which has been outstanding!

My picky sipper loves this cup! She has struggled to find a way to drink fluids, but the right size straws have helped! And I love that it’s a soft straw so that I don’t worry about her poking herself in the face or gums. She can be independent, just how she likes. She’s a very tiny toddler with tiny hands, but she’s able to grip the cup easily with both hands. I really love that this cup is spill-proof, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to let our toddler use it. She tosses drinks to the floor after a few sips, so it’s nice this one doesn’t leak! I found it under the couch after a few hours and no leaks! It’s a cute little cup too; my 5-year-old wants one for herself. Good to know for future gifts!

Great Toddler Cup But Design Needs Tweaks
I received the NUK FunGrips Straw Cup as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I appreciate the opportunity to try it out.
There’s a lot to like about this cup — it’s truly leak-proof and easy for my toddler to hold thanks to the contoured shape and textured grip. It’s been durable and handles drops well, which is a big plus for everyday use.
However, there are a few design flaws that affected our experience. The biggest issue is that the cup doesn’t fit in any standard cup holders — not in our car seat, stroller, or high chair. That makes it less convenient when we're on the go. Also, the straw doesn’t reach all the way to the bottom, so when there’s about an inch of liquid left, my toddler can’t get to it and gets frustrated.
With a longer straw and a slimmer, cup-holder-friendly base, this would be a much more practical option.

Still Using It But Would Not Buy Another
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the NUK FunGrips Straw Cup to try out.
At first glance, I really liked the fun color combination of this cup. My 1.5 year old was interested in it, and I liked the soft straw that seemed gentle on his teeth and gums. The contoured design made it easy for him to hold.
However, we did run into some challenges. Because of the cup’s shape and weight, my toddler instinctively tried to tip it up like a bottle or traditional sippy cup, which made it difficult for him to get the hang of drinking from the straw. Even after some practice, he still struggled with the proper positioning.
As an adult, I tested it myself and noticed that while the cup is indeed leak and spill proof (which we love), the straw design makes it a bit tough to drink from continuously, it seems best for sipping rather than long drinks.
One thing I had some trouble with was reassembling the cup after washing it the first time. I didn’t pay attention to how the straw assembly went together initially, and the packaging didn’t provide guidance. I couldn’t easily find instructions online either, so I’ve included a picture in this review to hopefully help anyone else who finds themselves in the same spot. Once I figured it out, it was simple, but not intuitive at first, especially since I don’t own any other cups with a similar setup.
Overall, the cup works fine and we’ll continue using it, but I wasn’t impressed enough that I’d buy another or think to recommend it to friends. The leak proof feature is a win, but the learning curve and the effort to drink from it don’t outweigh the benefits for us.

Great cup for little hands
I received this NUK FunGrips Straw Cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When unpacking the cup, I was immediately struck by its bright, child-friendly colors. The cup's material feels sturdy. The shape of the cup along with its ridges look ideal for grip by a toddler who is just beginning to drink from a sippy cup. Unlike others, this cup does not include a weighted straw. The rigid straw encourages the child to keep the cup upright while drinking. The straw of the cup is so soft and flexible. I'm imagining it feels comfortable on teething gums. Reading the instructions, I was so happy to learn that the cup is free of BPA. I also love that the components are dishwasher safe, so I ran it through on the top rack before use. Re-assembly was simple and quick.
So how did my toddler adjust to it? Surprisingly seamlessly. My toddler is used to using a cup with handles, but naturally picked up the NUK independently. The cup is advertised as leak-proof, but it's actually leak-resistant. It doesn't leak when turned upside down, but it does spill a few drops when my toddler drops it from her high chair. This is not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. I'd still recommend it!

Sturdy spill proof sippy with easy grip
I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
After letting my active toddler use the NUK FunGrips straw cup for about a week, I must say I'm impressed with it having absolutely no leaks yet through cup tosses, falls, and just leaving it sideways random places. There's a pretty clever connection system between the outer and inner silicone straw parts that seals the path unless she applies suction to the straw. I tried the straw myself, and it just requires normal sipping.
The simple rounded ribs along the inward curve at the middle of the cup allow her to grip it quickly and keep it in her hands, when she wants.
She seems to be happy with the soft straw texture without being tempted to chew on it yet; maybe the small diameter helps it not to seem like a teether.
I appreciate that all parts clean well in the dishwasher, and that it's easy and quick to disassemble and reassemble the straw system. All in all, this is a great toddler sippy cup design.

Great cup
I got this cup for my almost two year old, he has had such a hard time transitioning from bottles, and I was hoping this style of cup could help. I really love how this cup is ACTUALLY leakproof, when it’s on its side or fully upside down- not a drop comes out. I also love the simple design and how easy it is to clean, there are no small parts that get lost in the dishwasher and all the pieces come apart. I like the wide mouth, it makes it easy to pour into and easy to clean by hand as well. The shape of the cup and all the ridges make it ways for little hands to hold, which is nice, and it’s durable and doesn’t show any signs of how often it has been dropped.
So for me, the cup gets 5 stars. However, my son just doesn’t like it. I’m not sure what the issue is, he isn’t a big talker, but he prefers his other cups to this one. My daughter, on the other hand, is four years old and she has no problem with the cup. She is a straw biter, so the flexible straw has been great for her and she hasn’t chewed through it which is impressive on the straws part. So I’m giving the cup 4 stars because it isn’t helping my son get off bottles, but I love the cup and we gained a new cup for my daughter, which is never a bad thing. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this cup!

It really is spill proof
I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When I first recorded confirmation I would be getting a “spill-proof” cup for my 18 month old toddler, I was skeptical. There are many products out there that claim to be spill or leak-proof, but this product delivers as advertised.
It has a really sleek design and if you’re one of those parents that are hard set on your child having gender specific or gender neutral things, you’ll love the look of this. The colors are a vibrant blend of turquoise and lime with a sort of sky blue straw. The bottle itself has a soft spiral-type design for comfort and grip. The cup holds approximately 10oz and it’s not too bulky either, allowing my little man to hold it securely as he walks around tormenting his older siblings.
The rubber straw completely separates from the cup itself which makes for easy access for cleaning. And did I mention the entire cup is dishwasher safe? Also, at his age, he loves to chew on EVERYTHING. That said, the straw is a good teething tool as he loves to just chomp on it. But the straw is so durable, there are no teeth marks and it still works just as intended.
Now, for the reason you’re here: it really is spill-proof!! I didn’t believe it at first. I filled it with water and put it through some practical tests. I tossed it back and forth to my wife a few times, no spill. I dropped it on the ground, no spill. I threw it on the ground, still, no spill. I shook it and shook it, flipped it upside down, right side up, upside down again; still no spill.
I will say, however, I was so surprised that no liquid had spilled or even leaked, I put it threw a one grown man stress test and shook it violently, twisting it with my wrist up and down. Still nothing. Finally, feeling unsatisfied and not believing my eyes, I did the same thing but as hard as I could, and I did get some water to leak out. But let’s get real here, there’s not a single toddler that could shake it as hard as I did, and if there was, you need to take him to the doctor right away and check his gamma levels (Hulk reference, anyone?)
Either way, it still never spilled. It’s a great product that delivers what it promises. It has a great look, it’s soft but sturdy, and it’s now his favorite cuppy. Would definitely recommend to anyone with toddlers who are tired of the same advertisements that say one thing but under deliverer and oversell. If you’re in the market for a new spill-proof, tough, easy to clean cup, the Nuk is for you! (Photos attached, taken before and after the stress test)

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this sippy cup.
My boys took to this cup quickly. It’s lightweight yet durable. It has been thrown and dropped and still holding strong. Their hands can easily hold the cup and the soft straw is gentle on their gums. Another plus with the straw is that they can chew on it and I don’t have to worry about fragments coming off. All of the pieces detach and can be put into the dishwasher for easy cleaning and sterilizing. My only complaint is the lid doesn’t sit flush on the cup. In the picture I attached with the cup upside down, you can see on the left side that it doesn’t quite sit all the way down as it does on the right side. It does not leak! But a small amount of moisture can be felt along the groove since it doesn’t sit flush. Nothing leaks from the straw whatsoever! Very happy with this cup.

Reliable Toddler Cup
The NUK FunGrips Straw Cup has been a welcome addition to our sippy cup collection! I enjoy its simple design and flexible straw (which my toddler has thankfully been unable to bite through, as of yet!) It's easy for my 18-month-old to hold and use, we've had no leaks, and it has withstood every drop from the high chair with no issues. The straw design is a bit more complicated to clean than some other cups we've had, but I suppose it's worth the cup's effectiveness! The only downside is that the care instructions suggest not using any straw-cleaner tools on the straw valve, such as a nipple brush, so I don't feel comfortable using this cup with anything but water. I imagine this cup will last us quite a while and am thankful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing us with this sippy cup to test out!

Good training cup
This cup is a cute design and easy for my 19 month old to hold. He is still learning to use a straw without lifting the cup up, so while he struggled with holding it down to use the straw, we were able to adjust and the straw feature became like a sippy cup. The cup has a unique spill proof feature that works both with the straw or sippy cup set up. The straw is soft and bendable. I most liked that my toddler can’t pull the straw out. That’s a clutch feature that I would recommend because I did not have to constantly put the straw back in the cup. I received this sippy cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Durable straw cup
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this sippy cup. I thought the NUK straw cup had a great look and design! It was cute and well-made, and I really appreciated the leak- and spill-proof feature, which worked perfectly and gave me peace of mind. While my toddler didn’t really drink from it much, he did enjoy chewing on the straw, which seemed to hold up well and didn’t cause any mess. The soft, bendable straw was gentle on his gums, which is a big plus for little ones who are still teething. The cup was easy for him to hold thanks to its toddler-friendly shape, even if he wasn’t quite ready to use the straw effectively. What I liked most about the cup was how durable and spill-proof it was. It’s a great option for travel or tossing in a diaper bag. While it didn’t quite work for my toddler’s drinking needs right now, I’d still recommend it to friends, especially for the quality and spill-proof design.

Quick New Favorite
We love the Nuk FunGrips straw cup! It has quickly become a favorite of ours! Finding a non-spill straw cup that our son can get good flow from has been a struggle over the last 4 months. The Nuk FunGrips checks all the boxes: it doesn’t have several tiny (often clear!) pieces that get lost, our son can easily hold it and drink from it independently, and it does not spill when tipped over or held downwards.
The bright colors are attractive and help my husband and I find the cup easily when it is left behind in a pile of toys. The straw has a silicone tip that is soft and gentle in our little one’s mouth - no sharp plastic or need to worry about him cutting himself. I also love the shape of the cup; this is the first child’s cup I have seen with such a pronounced hourglass shape. This really helps prevent the cup from tipping over. The smaller middle section makes it easy for our son to pick up and hold the cup. Even when the cup does tip over, the no-spill mechanism keeps the liquid inside. Another major plus is that the no-spill mechanism is all one silicone piece (and blue!) for easy washing!
After trying many different cups in the transition from bottle to straw cup, I am relieved to have the Nuk FunGrips straw cup as it is used easily by our son, prevents messes, and is easy to wash for frequent reuse! Thank you to Stellar Panel for providing us our family’s new favorite cup!

Pleasantly Surprised
As a mom of 2, I’ve tried just about every cup out there, and most are…awful. When the Stellar Product Testing Panel sent me this cup, I thought it was just going to be another leaky, impossible to clean straw cup, but I was seriously wrong.
My daughter is 1.5 and was bottle fed, and about 5 or 6 months ago started drinking out of a straw. Unfortunately, she can only drink out of a few cups successfully, and those cups tend to have really tiny straws with a million little parts that are so obnoxious to keep clean. And, on top of that, most of them leak!
This cup solves all my problems. I love that the straw is bendable and I don’t have to worry about her falling while holding it. She can easily drink out of it and hold it herself. And it doesn’t leak—at all. To properly test it, we took it everywhere: in the car, to the beach, to restaurants, etc. Not once did it leak!
I think the only downside of this cup is that it is plastic (if you’re worried about microplastics and those kinds of things), but my daughter is still dropping things left and right, so I don’t love the aluminum alternatives just yet. We’ll be using this cup until I feel confident giving her a heavier one.
Long story short, if you’re trying to transition off the bottle, this one is a winner!

Kiddo loves it
I received this cup to test from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and it's largely a winner. Kiddo loved it right out of the package, to the point he had a hissy that I took it to wash before letting him use it (yay toddler emotions!). It's fun colors, bright without being offensive and still relatively neutral. He seems to really like the straw, and it being soft and flexible is nice because teething has been miserable for him. He hasn't had any difficulty with holding it for himself (for reference, just over a year and a half old). My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars (no idea if this was intentional part of the design or complete oversight) is that it doesn't fit in cup holders. I don't give kiddo drinks when he's strapped into his carseat yet anyway, but it also doesn't fit into the cup slot on his high chair tray, so falls off pretty easily if he tries to balance it on that spot, so that's kind of a bummer.

Safe and Baby Approved
The NUK FunGrips Straw Cup was a hit with my baby! The bright, colorful design made it instantly appealing, and the easy-to-grip shape was perfect for her little hands. She loved drinking from it, and the valve worked well to regulate the flow—no coughing or spitting, just smooth sipping. She nearly finished the whole cup on her first try!
One of my favorite features is the soft silicone straw. It bends easily, so I don’t worry about her hurting herself, and it holds up well even when she bites into it. Cleaning is also a breeze—the parts disconnect easily, allowing full access to the valve so I can make sure no mold builds up.
The only downside is that the cup does leak a little when flipped. While it’s not a major spill, a small amount of water does escape occasionally. Thankfully, it never empties the whole cup.
Overall, it’s a great product with thoughtful design and safety features. Just be aware of the minor leakage issue.

Surprisingly Spill Proof
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this sippy cup, the NUK FunGrips Straw Cup. I didn’t expect a straw cup to be truly spill-proof, but this one is! My 1.5-year-old tends to drop his cups when he's done drinking, so it's great that this one doesn't leak. The hourglass shape is also great for his little hands, and the soft straw seems gentle but durable. I'm hoping it lasts if and when he starts teething again, as he definitely likes to chew.
Design-wise, I’m not a huge fan of the yellow cap and green bottle combo. It’s a bit bright for my taste, but it's still cute and functional. The only real issue is that the base is a little too wide to fit into our toddler car seat’s cup holders, so he ends up chucking it when he’s done. But even then—no spills!
What I love most is that it looks like a normal straw cup but has way better spill protection than others we’ve tried. Definitely recommending to other parents.

Easy to Use and Clean
I received this cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
I really enjoyed this cup. It was lightweight and the cup was very easy for my 13 month old son to hold and drink out of. He usually uses a cup with handles, so to see him successfully holding a cup with no handles was a pleasant surprise. I appreciated that the cup was in fact spill proof. I tested it myself before giving it to him and my son tested it a few times by throwing it to the floor. Both times, there were no water leaks!
Although the soft bendable straw was in fact gentle on my son’s gums and I did not have to worry about him poking himself, I wish there was a cover that came with it to keep it as germ free as possible when leaving the house.
The feature I loved most about this cup is that it is very easy to clean. The top easily unscrews and the straw piece pulls out and then can easily be split into its two pieces.
I would most definitely recommend this cup to others.

Simple and Spill Proof
My toddler has been using this cup for a few weeks now, and so far it appears to be spill-proof. It is a simple design with few parts, which I prefer. She has no trouble using the cup. The design is cute, more colors in the future would be a nice addition. We haven’t had any issues with leakage of cold drinks through the straw after removal from the fridge like I have with other cups. The cup is easy for my toddler to use and drink from. The straw is flexible but strong to prevent being torn, while also promoting good oral health. Overall I would recommend the cup to other moms. Leak and spill proof cup
I received this cup as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When I gave this cup to my little one, he was immediately excited by it. He was able to drink from it easily, and quickly turned it over where I was able to see that it did not leak at all. Love that! The straw is soft and bendable, and my son could easily hold the cup with the gripped hourglass design. The wide bottom also kept it sturdy on the table. There were a few issues I found with this cup, however. The lack of handles resulted in cold, wet hands from the cold liquids and condensation on the cup. Also, the straw inside the cup does not reach the bottom, so a good amount of liquid can not be finished. I usually don’t put too much liquid in my little one’s cup for many reasons, so I was constantly refilling even though there was still a decent amount of liquid in it. The hourglass shape and raised center part of the bottom also did not allow for the straw to get a lot of the liquid. At this age, it’s also really helpful to have a straw that moves inside the cup as littles usually hold the cups at various angles. Just overall, not a cup I will keep reaching for.

Perfect for little hands
I was given this sippy cup to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This cup is perfect for little hands. There is an indent in the center of the cup that allows toddlers to get a good grip to hold the cup securely. This cup is fairly straight forward to put together although it does take a little focus to make sure the silicone ring parts are on either side of the cup to ensure it being leak proof.
When I tried drinking water out of it, the straw does need a good suck to get the water to come out at first, but my kid doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all and her opinion is what matters. I love that the straw is a soft silicone and not a hard spout, so if she falls with it, there is less risk to injury!
Overall it's a great cup, with not too many crevices so it's easy to wash.

New Favorite but Doesnt Fit in Cupholder
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this sippy cup. This cup is a winner! It’s the cup my daughter drinks the most water from. It’s easy and light enough for her to hold and carry. The cup is fun colors without being obnoxious. It’s leak proof, easy to hold, and easy to drink from. The silicone straw is gentle on the gums. The only downsides are that the base is too wide for our cup holders and the lid sometimes doesn’t appear to be on all the way (but is still leakproof so it’s not a big deal). Overall, I would recommend this cup as long as not fitting in a cup holder is not too much of an issue.

NUK Fungrips straw cup
We received this cup to review from Stellar Product Testing Panel. My child was instantly excited about the cup when I gave it to him. He was able to hold it with ease and seemed to enjoy the texture of the cup and the colors. Our toddler likes to flip his cup upside down and when doing this there was minimal spillage, I think really what was just in the straw from his last drink so that is definitely a perk for this cup! The only thing I do not like about the cup is that wide bottom. Unfortunately I am looking for cups that fit in my stroller and car seat cup holder however the base of this cup is too wide to fit in either. I definitely will be looking at purchasing additional cups of this style to use around the house for meals.

Good Straw Cup
I was excited to receive the NUK FunGrips Straw Cup from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to trial and review. Even more importantly, my toddler was so excited to use the cup.
Pros:
*Wide opening makes it easy to clean and use
*Narrow middle with ridges makes it easy to grip
*Few parts to clean, parts are also easy to clean (by hand or in dishwasher) and assemble
*Soft spot on top to avoid damage from chewing
*Thoughtful design to reduce spillage
Cons:
*Too wide to fit in a cup holder
*Not spill or leak-proof. No cap to fully seal and even a little motion will lead to spills
Conclusion:
This is a good cup to use around the house with older/more responsible toddlers and young kids. It's easy to clean and assemble, without too many parts. The soft spout protects the integrity of the straw. It wouldn't be great for traveling, as it doesn't easily fit in cup holders, and tends to leak/spill at the top if moved too much. Also would not be a great fit for kids who have a tendency to throw their cups.

Great flexible straw cup
This cup works great for my little girl, it is easy for her to drink out of and I don’t have to worry about the straw hurting her as it is a soft flexible one. My favorite feature is the leak proof design, no matter how many times my daughter dumps it upside down and shakes it or drops it on the ground it doesn’t spill. It is easy for her to grab and hold with the size but I do wish the base was smaller to fit better in cup holders. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this sippy cup.

Great transition cup
I got this sippy cup for my one-year-old daughter to help transition her from a nipple-style sippy cup to a straw, and it works great! Great design and actually keeps her drink in the cup with the no leak design. She figured out how to use it quickly, and the soft straw makes it easy and comfortable for her to drink from. The grip-friendly design is perfect for little hands, and the fact that it’s dishwasher safe is a big win for me. Highly recommend for anyone looking to make the switch to a straw cup! Truly Does Not Leak
We received this cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and we are SO grateful for this find. We LOVE this cup. It truly doesn’t leak. We’ve run into challenges with other cups/straw styles siphoning liquid out, as well as leaking following our son biting on the straws. We’ve been using this cup for several weeks, and it hasn’t done either!! We’re thrilled our car seats and furniture are saved from further milk stains. The transition to this cup was seamless, and our two year old is able to handle it easily. The soft straw is great on his teething gums. The cup comes apart for cleaning and assembles very easily, which is a huge plus for us. I’ll be looking to purchase more of these, they’ll be the go-to cup in our house!

Great cup
I loved this cup and my daughter did too! My favorite part about it is the silicone material and that it is so easy to wash. I like the spill-proof design and the straw was gentle on my daughter's gums. Only four stars because the straw is not weighted so my daughter would try to tilt the cup to drink but would not get any water. Overall, a great tool to teach her to drink from a straw! I recieved this product from the Stellar product testing panel.

Actually Leak and Spill Proof
I am always skeptical when a cup promises to be lean/spill proof for toddlers. However, this cup actually is! I received the cup as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel for free. Both my toddler and I tested the cup. No spills. No leaks. Even when you hold it upside down and squeeze it! Unfortunately, my little one did not take a liking to the cup. Both he and I prefer the stainless steel cups he already has (less exposure to microplastics). I think if NUK could add their no-leak silicone straw system to a stainless steel cup, they would be the best toddler cup around.

Nice but hard to drink from
The Nuk straw cup that I received from the Stellar Product Testing Panel is cute and really easy for my son to hold. I really wanted it to work because I love the idea of a sippy cup that doesn't leak, but it was impossible for my 20 month old to suck anything through the straw since it has a little valve/stopper in it to prevent leaking. It was nice to have a soft, bendable straw but the fact that he couldn't get anything out of it is a non-starter.
